I am a biologist with GA WRD. We are in need of a few turkey tissue samples from turkeys killed in middle Georgia. Basically, between I20 and I16. I can use any bit of meat available from beards, legs, tail fans, or breasts. The meat can be dried, frozen, boraxed, etc. It can be from any bird harvested in the last 2-3 years. If real dry or boraxed, cut a bit thicker piece of tissue. If you are sure you can help, pm me your address and I will send you a sample vial to send back to me.
These samples will be used to complete a genetics database for wild turkey in Georgia.
