Burton & Rabun Tournament?

I heard that there was a Thursday night tournament on these lakes.
Does anyone know the details?
Time?
Entry Fee?
Schedule?
Who runs it?
I'm really interested in going.
Also what's it been taking to win? And is there any off limits area that you can't fish?

Tournaments are Thursday nights and Johnny Brooks usually put them. They usually alternate between Burton an Rabun every other Thursday. they start at 7:00 and run til 11:00. but since all of the tornado damage i heard they were just going to be on Rabun until the debris in the lake is cleaned up. This past thursday was the first one and i have not heard what it took to win but i have personally seen it take over 25lbs. And I think the entry fee is $40.

Ok great. My club fishes on rabun and burton and I've seen some big weights come in. I believe ill try a few. Is the river off limits?

Sometimes yes and sometimes no but they will tell you before the tounament starts. . . it is usually off limits the 1st couple tournaments and then they open it up.
