I have often wondered how far a gobbler will travel looking for hens,I have some places I hunt that I won't hear a bird till the last 2 to 3 weeks of season.
I don't have any specifics but up here where I am we have a mix of ag and timber making it pretty easy to keep tabs on a gobbler or gobblers..
Some years depending on how breeding/nesting has gone I will be riding around in late may and see a gobbler or gobblers that are distinguishable, alone making tracks a long ways from where they had spent the majority of the spring..
In this late period its hard to tell whether they are seeking hens, other gobblers or a change in habitat due to greenup..
