Does anybody use the i-comm radios and does everybody in huntin party need a ham liscense? Any comments, opinions or input would be appreciated! Thanks Wayne
Once a license is issued for use of the channels you buy (5 normally) you can have a certain limit of people using it that do not need licenses (10-12 i think). I like hunting off them, done it for many years. Would hate to go back to CBs. PM for more info.
They run off the same bands plus more channels. Some guys I hunt with run VHFs. There's a conversion chart somewhere on the net showing ham/VHF conversion frequencies.
They used to be the greatest thing there was. We just swapped over to the federally mandated narrow band and they've turned to junk. Same radios, distance cut in half or more.
