Savage axis II

Picked up a savage axis II stainless/synthetic 308. Didn’t have anything stainless and “needed” something to knock around on those rainy days. From what I’m seeing I think they need the extended Talley bases/rings. And use the#8 screws. Does anybody have any experience with this setup

That is what the Tally web site says....
We have the blue steel version in .308... have look to see what rings/bases on it ...I know they are not Tally...

I’m hoping the medium height will clear the bolt handle. I’ll give em a call tomorrow, they’ve been very helpful in the past.
