That’s exactly how it happened in Florida. What were once farms of hundreds, or thousands, of acres of citrus trees has become nothing but roof tops. The number one crop in Florida now is transplanted Yankees with their attitudes and northern budgets. We’ve been there and done that, so you can cry all you want, it’s not going away. I seriously sympathize with you but you hit the nail on the head with the generational greed of those that inherited the land but don’t want to work it. The fact that the origin states like NY, NJ, California, and others seem to be pushing them out isn’t helping at all.
How many Canadians in Florida permanently?

Cry all I want huh? Buddy my family farm is still in the family and will stay that way as long as I’m alive. I’m good but that doesn’t mean I have to like the rest of it. Enjoy your retirement down there surrounded by em. Sounds like it’s well deserved.
Not you personally, but anyone that doesn’t like it and thinks they can do something about it. Like I’ve repeatedly said, we’ve been dealing with it for generations. Y’all are just a few decades behind us in this invasion. But if you need a villain for this thread, I guess me and any other Floridians can fill the bill.

Oh y’all have been dealing with it for generations? I got it this time. Game changer. There’s plenty I can do about it like send them scatting when they come around saying, “Yah eed leek tu bahyee yewer prahpurtee.” The stupid and hurt look on their faces when I tell them what I tell them is heart warming.

As I drove down the street, I saw the new neighbors had Florida plates.
I gave them the one finger salute and yelled Libertaw.
No reason to meet them since the odds are so slim they could be respectable.

I finally realized my dream of owning land in Georgia. It’s only right after all. These stupid rednecks have been doing things the same way forever and can’t appreciate what a privilege it is to hunt such beautiful land.

After making my purchase I started noticing the adjoining land on both sides of me looked like prime hunting territory. Why should these people get to hunt it and not me? I’m sure I could buy it from them easily and until then I’ll just treat it like it’s mine. I was walking g around and noticed a trail camera that would have gotten my picture so I took it with me and came back later and hung my own to see what all sorts of game was inhabiting this land adjoining my new little slice of heaven. If I liked what I saw I’d make a move and buy it. Then the craziest thing happened. The stupid redneck who owns the land took down my trail camera. Then when I called and made an offer on the land he told me no! He went so far as to say the land has been in his family for a hundred years and means a lot to him and will never be for sale and to not ask again and to stay on my own property. Stupid Libertaw redneck. Doesn’t understand how bad he needs my money. I think I’ll start a little fire on his place. I deserve that land because I’m from Florida and have money.

I get it, I had similar problems on family land in CO. What was once an outdoorsman paradise was liberal garbage.

That is a pretty much 100% spot-on description of the attitude of these come-here folks I've been dealing with since I was a teenager. I hate them with a black passion. You forgot the part about your property taxes going up 5000% because they build a million-dollar house right up the road from you. And then get all their buddies to build a cluster of more of them all around them.
