Picked tomatoes and pulled the plants yesterday, today was salsa verde with the greens. Tomorrow will be normal salsa. Wife called and said she had ribeyes so fired up the egg. Not a bad way to spend the afternoon.

Thursday night eats. Pork shoulder steaks, slathered with butter/olive oil/garlic/salt/pepper/lemon juice. Gassed in a big hurry to 150°
Strained the grean beans, tossed around in a skillet with bacon grease, cajun season, and panko crumbs. We're not big cookers around here, struggles with kids and chores. So this was a treat.

Used of some of the last garden veggies in some ratatouille, onions, eggplant, zucchini, squash, garlic, tomatoes and basil sweated down. Cooked but still a little snap to the veggies. Some cedar planked salmon and a grilled banana pepper.
Some good looking grub here tonight!

Wife wanted cheekin n dumpins. Made this batch in the instant pot. Had some butter beans and corn bread muffins to go wid it.

I hear ya.....we almost never have either.
In fact....I haven't had chicken & dumplings since I was a kid. My wife love's 'em....or at least the version that her mother and aunts made.
Seeing @chobrown 's great looking plate has me wanting to do some research and learn how.....then make a batch for her one day soon.

Nothing to it dub. I took 2 chicken breast and cooked them on high in the instant pot for 15 mins. I put 1 can of chicken broth to 2 cans of water. Some salt, pepper, and other seasonings.
Then I took them out and shredded them in the kitchen aid.
Had my helper for the corn bread muffins
I added the shredded chicken back to the broth in the instant pot and also put in about 3/4 of a pack of Mary Hill dumplings and turned it back on for 5 mins.

We have it several times a year. Funny you mention the dressing, we had a big pan of last Sunday at a family eating. I believe I could eat it once a week.

Broken record eats again tonight.
At least it's hung up on a track that I really enjoy....leftover Crystal Garlic has browns, Jimmy Dean Hot sausage, toast and a couple over-easy-well-peppered eggs on top.
