Out today with Keith and Kenneth "Pops"...and boy, it was tough! Got started around 7:30....off at 3pm....and we battled all day. Talk about being all over fish....we were on them but it was basically one and done or none at all. Tons of window shoppers....we'd get them to chase, then turn away.
Still - we battled...running and gunning and ended up boating 18 and losing several more. Keith and "Pops" did a great job on a tough day. They kept us with the pace of running and gunning....it was a few minutes on each place then pack and run.
Robo's and Fruity worms did get the hits but I expected to put 30-40 in the boat with the amount of fish we were seeing. We ran different depths and caught fish all over the board....just couldn't figure out a depth they were really active in.
Ol' Pops would go on point when he felt something....and Keith just stay quite until you heard his drag No big girls today....best probably 2.5#. But as Keith said, "these things are strong and fast!"
Great father / son team with some trash talking after every fish. We're going out again....just didn't catch them like we should have...still, 18 isn't a bad day on Lanier for August. LJ
