pedal kayak

I'm thinking of a kayak. I'm new and never had one but like the idea of the pedal drives. Has anyone used them and have a preference? I'm somewhat familiar with the Hobie but saw 2 new ones on Ebay, an Old Town predator PDL and a Perception Pilot (they look about the same drive wise). Pedator better seat, pilot cheaper.
Any thoughts?

I've never been in the Predator, but did get to see one up close recently and it is a great kayak. One of the members here had a lot of input on the design of it.

Cannot go wrong looking at a Native Slayer Propel 13 if you like to be able to fish "handsfree" in a kayak.

I've seen a couple of Hobies out on the lake, they look like mean machines to me. Owners always speak very highly of them as well. Usually you can find one or two in nice shape floating around on Craigslist, to take a little sting out of the sticker price.
