Headed to Western KY on Monday for 7 Days of bow hunting. Question for those familiar with that area is where to focus on stand location. It’s a diy hunt. We have our choice of 4 different places to hunt. 3 farms with large cut bean and corn fields with some woods along the edges that provide great bedding areas. Or we have a new opportunity to hunt big hardwoods. We are going in blind to the hardwood area as it’s a new property for us. Of course we will hunt the wind but just wondering what the bucks tend to focus on this time of year in that area. Have only hunted it in September in previous years so this is all new to me. Thanks y’all.

Hardwoods will prob be bare by this time, with no scouting time if hunt the bean/corn woods field edges. Try to find obivous trails they use through thick stuff to get into the fields. Good luck.

Id be hunting just off the cut fields for sure.

Gun season has passed and they get hammered. You might have to work you way back towards the bedding areas to see them in daylight.
