Hunting club problems

Collect $250 in addition to annual dues. Get this up front. Refund it to all members who show up to work. Those who don't show up forfeit their funds. Use those funds to hire day labor to work in place of the no-show members. Some members may prefer to pay the $250 so they don't have to make the trip to work.

I most definitely enjoy reading proposed-suggested-solutions to various problems in the forum !!!

Sort of like a line in one of comedian Steve Martin's movies in which he said:

"First, get a million dollars"!!

This is a regular problem for deer clubs and the solution is actually quite simple.

First, decide what the "fine" is going to be for not showing up on workdays. Multiply that $ amount times the number of workdays you plan on having and then add that amount to each members' dues.

Then, explain to members they will get a check equivalent to the fine for not showing up if they do show up and work. If you show up for all the workdays, you get all your "fine" money back.

There will be no more arguments about who is paying for what and attendance by club members on workdays will improve significantly. The additional money surrendered by "no shows" can go towards foodplots, campground improvements, etc. etc.

This!:huh::huh:
