could be a dozen reasons, airflow across coil too high, condenser coils dirty, condensate piping, missing p-trap, loose duct work, txv not working, mis matched air handler and condenser, oversized unit

An AC Man just told me a few days ago that if you get an AC unit that is too big for the space, it won't run long enough to get the humidity down.

Have to ask...
What temp are you setting the thermostat to?

Maybe there is more humidity coming in than the A/C unit can dehumidify. Too much outside air, an open window, exhaust fans making the bldg negative, water leak in the crawl space, too much cooking, Hollywood showers?

It's early Summer, in Georgia, humidity is normal. What leads you to believe you have a problem?

What problems are you experiencing? What would you want to see?

Ideal humidity is around the 50% mark.

"what would cause an ac unit not to take out enough humididy/ thanks"
Low refrigerant charge

Wash your condenser coils,,,, just a few things you can do yourself,,,, there are many things that can cause this,,,, no use getting technical though,,,,

Mine has been staying right around 55% humidity inside. We keep the thermostat between 67-70* depending on time of day and whether we're home or not.
