Well here is push-pin turkey call 2.0. My first calls I made was slate over poplar. However I noticed the sound changed pretty drastically depending on the humidity level.
Decided to try aluminum over a cedar striker, with a magnolia box. I also tried making the box slightly deeper see if it would make the call louder(it did). So far I like what I am hearing. Definitely better than what I can buy at the store. I'll try to include a sound clip if I can figure it out.
