The shoulder development in that first picture is not a 2 yo deer. The second pic doesn't add much it actually is deceiving; I think it makes him look younger than he actually is.

Ten fer, I've hunted most of my life and have just now become interested in learning how to age deer. I know his antlers are large for a 2.5, but his body looked small compared to some truly mature bucks around here.

That is a small 3.5. I'd say he's healthy 2.5 year old deer.

He does look more like 2.5 there to me. Do you not have any pics that you can upload directly? That looks like either another screen shot or a picture from a 35 mm in the 1970's.
