10+ year old Mineral site

Been hunting this area for 15 years now.
Started this mineral site with just ice cream salt, now I use an assortment of minerals for a healthier herd. Trying the new SWI mineral mix in 30 pound bags.

Are the minerals beneficial? I’ve heard people say they don’t need it, and it does nothing for health or antlers etc… yet any farm with large animals will have a salt lick somewhere. I’d think it would be…..dunno

It is beneficial if you use the right trace minerals and micro nutrients. The minerals deer need are for overall health, it helps with digestion, antler growth, hair, tons of different things. It’s kind of like us taking a multivitamin or supplement for overall health. Deer crave it because they’re wired to seek out nutrients their bodies need.
