Haven't bought my Georgia license yet but when I do go after the bushey tails will be using my 32 cal flintlock or my Ruger mark 2 pistol.......

Opening day

Hunted scattered hickory trees this morning. Shot two, saw a third. Thick canopy makes it difficult to see them. I really appreciated the ThermaCell this morning.

Had two does and two fawns come in some twenty yards away and saw a flock of hens/poults on the drive out.

Good to be in the woods again.

I wish the hawken I got a few months ago for a song was a .32 instead of a .50. Oh, well. I guess this year it's the air rifle and old Marlin .22 again! Maybe a bow, but don't like the thought of sticking a tree and losing an arrow, even if they are only $3 arrows.
