40 second beaver catch

Guy is setting a beaver set and while he’s cleaning up the set area he catches a beaver right in front of him. Crazy!

That’s awesome! Talk about efficient. I came close back in May to watching one get caught. I saw one swimming around our pond. Got my gear, came back and put a castor mound in. As I was walking away with my daughter we saw him swim up. We crouched down and watched for 30 seconds or so before she got impatient. As we walked back to the house we spooked him away from the set. About 45 mins later I went back and he was caught. Would have been cool to watch it real time like that

That was cool. I had that happen when we trapped Nutria in Louisiana. We set one in front of a bank den. Turned around to walk off and a big Nutria came out of the bank den and got caught.
