If you want to fish the Altamaha River you better get to it. It appears the river has fallen about 4 ft. since Tuesday. A friend camping on a sand bar said it had fallen nine inches over night.
Now todays fishing report out of Eason's Bluff. River is down and falling fast. Fish are out of swamp and heading to the river. Fish around creeks and streams entering the river and you can pick up a few fish. If the river would stabilize I think we could have some good fishing.
I am planning at trip to Morgan's Lake at Jesup next week, I hope the river level will hold at least to 5 ft. there. At 5 ft. you can still get around and fish are plentiful.
