Amazing how long a mistake will stick with ya..

Been turkey hunting 15 yrs and I remember most screw ups. This year I'm determined not to try and sneak up on a bird.

What gets me is that you forget certain things from last year, whether its setup or calling or whatever, until you get busted. Then it all comes back and you dream for nights about how you should have done it.

I have been on a bird for a couple of seasons now. Last week he was finally gobbling. I tried moving in on him before flydown and bumped his hens to him. Yesterday morning I got in the hollow early but moon was bright. Bumped him off roost 45 minutes before sunrise. He has got to be the luckiest bird I have ever hunted!!!
