Another old friend brought back…

Had so much fun refinishing the Marlin 49DL for the Grandsons, I decided to rehab my very first gun, an Ithaca M-66 20 gauge. I think Dad gave me this for Christmas in 1972. I’m sure they’ll have fun with this one as well. Just did the wood.

My 1st shotgun was the same one. But it had a blond stock. I regret selling it. But I found another one for my sons 1st shotgun. Just wish the ejector worked.

Yes, I darkened it up a bit from the original blonde finish.

One of my buddies had one of those when we were kids. I remember his dad buying it at the gambles hardware store. Lots of great memories wandering the hills and woods. It had the blonde wood and was a 20 also. Nicely done!
