Another post for telephone poles. Our last lease had a bridge that used two telephone poles. We removed the rotten plywood and replaced it with sheets of heavy gage expanded metal. That bridge is still strong.

If all else fails cut down a couple straight sweet gum trees. I've made several bridges throughout the years. If they stay above the water line you can get several years out of them.
