They used to nest under roof shingles at our previous home, and I’ve caught them dragging bluebird chicks out of our bird houses. A pellet gun sets them straight. Mockingbirds are just as bad, I don’t care for them either.

Mockingbirds are native and belong here. Starlings are here because some idiotic people in NYC decided that all the birds mentioned in the works of Shakespeare should live in the US, so they imported some from Europe and turned them loose. And they have since wrecked our ecosystem. True story.
Squirrels also mostly live off bird eggs and baby birds in the spring.
