Bear stole trap box

Just returned from a Fall hunting trip to New York. Helped my buddy run his trap line between turkey hunts. Had a bear steal a fisher box like the one pictured. Ripped the conibear trap out of the box. Bent the rebar stake holding it down. Sure glad he wasn’t in the trap. Would have been interesting trying to release it.

I don’t think my choke stick is large enough to go around a bears head, lol.

Bears are aggravating animals for sure. Couldn’t trap raccoons on my last least for the bear killing and eating coons. Destroyed several dp traps and ran off with a couple. Live trap was out of the question.
