This carrier variant (C) is the coolest F35 variant in my opinion.

It's the largest of the airframes and doesn't have those "skinny legs" like their land based counterparts

Just to piggyback off this thread with a cool tidbit on the generation III helmets.

The helmet integrates with cameras built into the airframe.

When a pilot rotates his head to look around and down, his view from the visor is as if the airframe was nonexistent.
