Coons working hard at catching some late night snacks

EAGLE EYE 444

Anthony,

Way back many decades ago, I remember my Grandfather saying that raccoons will sometimes dig into rotting logs and find "grubs" and they will eat them them as they are more like dessert. My grandfather was born in November 1888 and died in November of 1973 and he was an avid coon and possum hunter along with his two best friends.

Maybe that is what the raccoons are finding in this log and then trying to wash them before eating. It is a long shot BUT it might be true.

Coons and Possums were his favorite meals too.

I believe that this year we are being visited by a mega hatch of the Cicada bugs. This may be what they are after.
