Covid between vaccinations

Has anyone here came down with Covid between their first and second dose of either Moderna or Pfizer? I got my first dose in early December and was scheduled for my second dose this Friday. I've woke up with a sore throat and just not feeling good. Going to get tested today.

I have not personally but we have three people here at work that all had 2 doses of the vaccine and still got infected so it is definitely possible. All three had mild symptoms and were back feeling fine in a couple days.

Not exactly what you’re looking for, but a young lady in my church (40) in great shape, decided to take the vaccine last year. She apparently had just unknowingly contracted the actual Covid and hadn’t presented symptoms yet. She wound up with double pneumonia and hospitalized for a while. She’s okay now, but it seems to me a very bad idea to have both entities in your system at once.

This is exactly what the vaccines do ! People think the vaccines prevent you from getting covid ! What they do is help ease the problems ! You still can catch..have less problems and spread covid even if you have been vaccinated !

So far, I only know one vaccinated person who got symptomatic covid, my niece. It was a very mild case compared to her unvaxxed husband. He went and got the antibody treatment, and it straightened him pout pretty quick.

I've known lots of vaccinated folks who got it. Both of my parents included. My mom ran a fever for 2 weeks.

I've never heard of anybody getting it between doses though.

I had 2 Pfizer and not quite time for the 3rd when I tested positive.

No symptoms. Only way I knew was 4- 5 folks I was giving rides to got it and I wanted to be tested before I got around my 82 y/o Mama.

I went real quick and got the infusions as a precaution. Doubt if I would have even known I had it if not for a positive test.

The clock changes when you test positive.
ima' have to look, but I think they told me I couldn't get the 3rd jab for 3 months after the infusions.

I WOULD GO GET THE INFUSIONS IF I WERE YOU.

Hope all goes well.

You can catch it between the first two or even after the booster. Concerning getting a vaccine dose if you have Covid, I read this;

No, it won’t make you sicker or less sick if you have COVID-19 and get the vaccine, said Dr. Thad Stappenbeck, chair of the Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute, but it could make the vaccine less effective if you get the shot when you have symptoms of any virus, he said.

It is also best not to get other vaccines, like the flu shot, if you’re feeling sick, because it can impact the vaccine’s effectiveness, Stappenbeck said.

Just my thoughts but if you get any vaccine while you are sick with anything, you might not know what is causing what symptoms. Same reason I wouldn't want to get two vaccines at the same time such as the flu one and the shingles one.

Now you know of two more.
My wife and I were scheduled for our Modern-a booster on January 6 but had to cancel as my mother died and we came back to Fl. About January 4 we both became symptomatic (after moms church and memorial services). The symptoms are mild except I had a bad interaction with my BP meds that caused me to pass out at the breakfast table (my wife didn’t like that) and gave me a short tour of our local ER.
As several on here have noted, they are not true vaccines. They just prepare your body to produce the antibodies (I know it’s more complicated but I don’t want to type forever).
And as a “by the way” the infusion therapy is VERY hard to get here in Fl. Everyone is out of it.
My doctor did prescribe a course of vitamins, Pepcid, Meletonin, and a mild steroid.
He didn’t recommend ivermectin with my background.

My nephew's wife who is a nurse got COVID right before her second shot. She was sick for about 5 days with cold like symptoms. This was back before general public could even get the shots. I have guided dozens of doctors fishing the last couple years and they have all been vaccinated. They all say it is the smart thing to do. My biggest concern about the number of non vaccinated COVID patients filling our hospitals are putting the non COVID medical emergencies in jeopardy since there isn't room for them in the hospital. How would you feel if a loved one had a heart attack and died because treatment was delayed by patients filling the ER and ICU that very well wouldn't be there if they had been vaccinated. When people are choosing not to get the vaccine they should take this into consideration. It could be their own loved one they put at risk if they end up with a bad run in with COVID.

If you get COVID watch your blood pressure. If you control it with meds be specialy observant.
At breakfast mine dropped and I went unconious without warning.
Now it’s stabilized at about 15 points lower than normal.
My cardiologist has taken me off of one med until he can figure out what’s happening.

Thats interesting. Did they say why? I have a family member who passed out a week after they had mild covid. They are on b.p. meds. This was very early on before they had connected the dots on alot of things.

The ER doc was close to useless. He was busy with a hord of patients.
I got a call to my cardiologist and he said stop one med and monitor my pressure and call him early in the week.
My Covid symptoms are on the wane and my BP seems to have stabilized.
I was already working with my cardiologist on my BP fluctuating before this so this was probably just an aggravation.
There are a plethora of BP meds out there and many of us take more than one. DO NOT mess with your own meds without medical advise.
My experience is just that, MINE.
Just be aware of the possibility.
