Coyote Neck Snare/Trap Device

Leg hold traps are not legal in Fla. Thought this might be a good alternative if it actually works.

Dave,

Are there many trappers in FL? Or should I say "snarers"?

I don't know of any coyote trappers of any kind in Florida.

Coyotes are plentiful around here. It has been raining most afternoons and the next morning there are fresh coyote tracks all over the sand/dirt trails and roads on many tracts. I am in the woods 2-4 days a week and see fresh tracks all the time.

Saw two big coyotes running together last week, but couldn't get on them with my 22 mag. They looked like two big German Sheppard dogs running across the hills.

I thought about trying snares as I know where there is a coyote crossing under a barbed wire fence. Leg hold traps are not legal in Fla, but a person may be able to get a permit to trap coyotes. I don't know much about using leghold traps, just what I have read.
