Did you plant sorghum

Lol! That's what i figured. It would definitely be worth that if I could get a few years out of it, but a gallon wouldn't last the summer. I will ride it out and hope for some rain. The seed variety i planted has some resistance to them, and despite their best efforts last year, they didn't kill any. Between the heat and dry weather, not sure i will fair as well this go round.

How many acres do you have for plots? 4oz to the acre goes a long way.

I reckon I've lost my plot. Only looking like 10 percent is going to make it. I thought it was the dry spells but it is the aphids.

We have about 70 acres of sorghum. We lease it out to a farmer. He told me just today they Fixin to air plane spray it for aphids. I didn’t ask with what but I will

Sorry to hear about that fellows. I wouldn’t have known about it but a friend planted some last year and knew how bad they were. It has been years since I planted any and back then I don’t remember them being a problem

I have the first heads popping through. Glad I caught the little buggers in time.
