Lots of people put out poison for coyotes around here. We lost 3 beagles out of a pack of 5 when rabbit hunting about 7 years ago. They were dead in the dog box before we got home. We had no ideal at the time that anything was wrong. I always ask the land owner or lease holder before we hunt it. Most won’t admit to doing it because it’s illegal, I just ask them if there are areas we “ need to avoid” when hunting. If they say yes, I just won’t hunt it. Too much chocolate and grapes will poison some dogs. Never roll them a grape to play with.
