Dog training locations. Public ponds?

I have a lab that I’m wanting to train some in water. Are there public places that would have ponds to train a dog? I’ve contacted wildlife resources and they said it would have to be on a WMA that offered spots for dog training and the were limited to the area given for training. Unfortunately the one place I’m close to doesn’t have a pond in the training area. Any help would be appreciated!

Where are you located? Most County or City parks around the metro area don't specifically restrict dogs from swimming in their ponds that I know of. You could always hit the federal parks along the hooch or there are several parks with river access in woodstock and canton. Obviously, all the options I am providing would not allow you to utilize a firearm in your training. Bumpers only.

I would go to my local park that’s on the river or has a pond and have at it.
