Wife found a butt on on clearance, then a few days later picked up another….so threw them on the traeger this morning while I did some manual labor around the house.
Rubbed one down with some Bad Byron’s and another with what I had left of the Cork Barrel BBQ rub I had left to use it up.
On to the smoke around 9 this morning.
Around lunch, I was getting hungry and have been wanting to cook up this sausage the wife picked up for me on clearance….Perfect day to squeeze it on the smoker for a few before I pull the butts off.
‘Bout an hour later, the sausage was done to temp, so it and the butts were pulled. The butts were transitioned to their next location to finish up for a few more hours!
One was wedged into the crock pot with Dr. Pepper, the other was wrapped and tossed into the oven at 225 with a bit of partially diluted apple cider vinegar.
Now…Back to lunch. Got the sausage sliced up, air fried some onion rings and we were ready to fill the tank!
