I have never owned a diesel and wanted opinions about the LB7 . Is it a good motor ? reliability issues etc? I drive a Ford diesel company truck daily and they have been nothing but problems.

I have a 7.3 as a daily driver so I couldn’t help. Look up powerstroke specialist atlanta on YouTube. Maybe he can help you.

LB7's are fine engines. Especially if they are kept to a tow tune. I've seen lots with 400k miles. They did have injector problems initially, but GM took care of it til 200k or 5 years, I think. That warranty is long gone but most all had the injectors updated. The issue with those replacements was that they were under the valve cover. It still isn't a terrible job. Most experienced mechanics can swap a set in 6-8 hours.
