I am wanting to replace my gas stove with an electric.
I will need a line from the garage breaker to the kitchen about 25’ away. I have an open, unfinished, attic. I also have 10’ ceiling in the kitchen.
I have a quote for a 4 wire 8 gauge line with a 50 amp breaker and appropriate out let.
Quote is 1790.00 $.
Is that high? It seems to be to me as the parts, from Home Depot , run under 500.00 $.
I’m seriously thinking of doing it myself. I just am not looking forward to climbing into the attic.

AFAIK if the work isn't done by a licensed electrician your insurance won't cover any damages or fires.
