Recipe? Flavor? Popped one in February while shed hunting several years back. Planning to cook it. It disappeared into a leaf filled stump hole. I dug to mid bicep depth and started to think about maybe a scaly inhabit of that hole. Gave up and felt bad about the waste. Left them alone since.

I’ve never are one , just cutting up . I have heard they are pretty good , but carry a lot of nasty diseases .

They are. Little stringy, but taste real similar to fresh pork. We grilled it but it could easily be made into a stew.
