Decided to take a few days off work to chase some pigs before the weekend crowd hits the public woods. Got on multiple groups of pigs through put the day but couldn't make it work. I actually ended up Shooting two hogs. one was a 120+ boar hog I thought I had made the perfect Shot, behind the shoulder but after I saw him run about 80 yards I new I was in trouble. On the way to look for the first hog, two 40 lb hogs ran out of a thicket and walked by me at 8 yards like I wasn't there. One of them didn't make it, only went 30 yards and fell over dead. The boar hog I never found, I trailed him for about 125 yards on to private property. Only thing I can figgure is I hit him further back then I thought....very scant blood trail with only small drops of blood. In my mind I thought I had made the perfect low heartshot.
