First Public Bird/ Real Piedmont Sucess

We had an extremely tough hunt at the Piedmont 2nd hunt, hunted hard for 3 1/2 days and heard a total of 2 gobbles from 1 bird on the roost. 1st time ever being there and it is beautiful just not a whole lot happening this week. Sat up and did some blind calling Friday afternoon around 4pm and finally 2 Jake's came in silent. Took one of them at about 40yds. Normally not a Jake killer but it was a tough week and being a first public land bird I'm proud of him!
