Headed to Lake Burton on Monday for the first time. Is Murray Cove a good ramp to put in at? Also any tips to catch some spots and largemouth appreciated.

Isn't that mostly a lake where the bass feed on bluebacks?

Lake Burton is a 2,775-acre reservoir is located near the City of Clayton. This mountain reservoir features beautiful scenery and exquisite lakeside homes. Burton Yellow Perch: (This report courtesy of Fisheries Supervisor Anthony Rabern) — Two local anglers, Phil Black and Wesley Turpen, are no strangers to the quality yellow perch fishing in the mountain lakes of Northeast Georgia. The duo spent a beautiful fall day targeting yellow perch at Lake Burton, which proved very productive as both anglers landed fish worthy of an angler award. Live worms or minnows fished on the bottom, or small jigs are good bets for catching yellow perch.

ill be out there this weekend waterfowl hunting. might have to bring a couple rods to pass the time lol

Fish were on top water big time Monday on the main lake. Busting schools of bluebacks. Water level is dropping pretty quick. Draw down is 13 feet this year. Get on there while you can.
