Flintlock only season is a special time of year in Pennsylvania

When I lived in Pennsylvania (1969 - 74) I never participated, way too cold and miserable weather. My brother and his brother in-law usually went out every year and had minimal success. There were a number of times a deer was in range, however, the flintlock didn't go boom.

Love it. Cold weather never bothered me.

Couple deer I killed over the years there.

Biggest flintlock buck. When I shot him, it was 5 degrees outside with a 25 MPH wind.

The folks I know that participate in the hunt do it in the mountains. They put on drives and do well!
