Curious which part of the state you guys are seeing these in? We haven't seen or heard any in Coweta yet.

I’m in Troup county and I haven’t seen any yet either. I hope to find a few this season with my puppy after Christmas.

Based on what People say, it seems like they arrive a little later to the western part of the state, so maybe y'all will see them a little later.

I hope so. My puppy will be back home the week after Christmas. So I’ll have her in the woods as we start our first season together.

Didn't hunt opening weekend due to temps. Went Friday and was surprised to find 9 birds (not counting reflushes) in about 2 hours of on the ground time. Usually don't find that many early season first hunt or two. Gil

The ones I’ve seen were in Heard co about as far west as u can get .
Talked to a friend that rabbit hunted in Meriwether yesterday and jumped several

Me and my hunting partner have put up around 40 birds this last week. Hopefully they stay around. I haven't had this a good of year in a while and especially that many birds the first week of the season. My dogs are decent on. Woodcock but my friends are great. Helps he's been hunting around here for 40 years.

As usual here they came through the mountains pretty heavy about three weeks before the season. Haven’t seen any since the season opened but haven’t hunted anywhere that was heat for them either.

They’re one of my favorite birds too and I’ve never even killed one. I used to hunt a swampy spot on my climber that was thick with them. I enjoyed watching them do their thing.

My dog pointed one in Emanual County two weeks ago while we were quail hunting.

We found some more birds. We put up around 15 birds in two days killed three . My excuse is switching to a SXS from a semi auto.

Lukas and I took a walk this afternoon. We didn’t find any birds but Lukas found a nice shed !!
