Hunting Giant Fox Squirrels

Hunting the Biggest Fox Squirrel Sub Species out 10 sub species. The Fox Squirrel that ranges from SE Virginia to Northern Florida is the Biggest. The Biggest I have harvested was 3.4 lbs and the longest was 34.5 inches. 17.5 ince tail and 17 inch body.

Todays squirrel went 2.5 lbs which is bigger than Gray squirrels.
Shot with a 410 Shotgun!
This color Phase is called a "SaddleBack" as it is Black with a Salt and Pepper Saddle.

I’ve killed more than my fair share. Mostly on WMA’s or Corp of Engineer Properties.
Last one I took was two years ago. It’s almost solid black with a white face. Beautiful! Shot it with my CZ 20ga sXs. I froze it in case I find a taxidermist that’s willing to mount it...

Anyone recommend a taxidermist?
