for the winter. What seed would you spread? Wheat or something else?
Well I will replant sunflowers in May of 2024. Just wanted a cover crop to minimize weeds and provide some spring food as well. I planted wheat and crimson clover on Saturday before the rain hit.Depends on what you’re wanting out of it.
Crimson clover would do well and putout some free nitrogen when it dies.
Awnless wheat will provide feed now and seed heads for critters in early summer.
Or mix the two. A good combination plot that will provide food and nitrogen.
A great combo!Well I will replant sunflowers in May of 2024. Just wanted a cover crop to minimize weeds and provide some spring food as well. I planted wheat and crimson clover on Saturday before the rain hit.
