Issues Registering Boat from Out of State?

Trying to transfer the registration on my boat from Florida to Georgia, the application was rejected and the Florida title is what is stated as being the reason. Registration is valid for 2 more months, so it’s not an old expired tag.

I’ll be calling in the morning, but curious if anyone else has had difficulties transferring registrations?

Oh yes. Took me a while to get mine registered. I bought boat ftom a guy in Alabama who let registration expire. Plus he had bought from a guy in ga.

It was not fun.

Fooling with several boats I’ve found that using the GA DNR bill of sale whether titled or not makes it a lot smoother. If that is a option.

Definitely use the DNR bill of sale, my last boat out of Florida was a breeze using the DNR one even without the title in hand.

Transferred one from Texas with all documents (title, Ga bill of sale) no problem at all.
