A little surprised they let him free lift that much weight without having the bar in a squat rack. if he lost his balance, or blew out a hip or knee joint, that guy spotting him from behind would be pretty much useless when 600 lbs comes crashing down.

I would tend to agree with you but he does not like to get hit. When he lined up at receiver and they threw it to him, he looked to shy away from contact.
