La teal opener….

Started teal season with my ol Cajun buddy in SW La. This was our 22nd year hunting together and hope to have many more. Our blind killed 102 teal in 3 morning hunts. Hope this is an indication for a strong big duck season.

Awesome! I bet that was a blast! Can’t beat a good teal shoot.

I’ve worn my teal out, I don’t think there’s enough left to even bother in the morning. Think we’ll go catch some specks to fry up with the teal instead.

Heck of a hunt , congrats ! Where was the one banded ?

Thanks @antharper, bird was banded in March of 2022 in Grand Chenier…only about 80 miles from where I killed him. Wild to think he was banded down here before returning North then made it back that close to the same area.

That is pretty wild . I’ve never been much of a duck hunter but killed 2 wood ducks in south ga years ago with bands . One was banded in New York and other on the coast of Ga .
