My sons first find

Can I get some expert opinions on the point type of my sons first find. He was super excited. He’s 8 years old and that’s his hand for size comparisons. hx

It looks like Knife River Chert, but it can`t be. High grade Bay Branch, Maybe.

Here’s a picture of him in the truck right after he found it. He said something I think about every time I find one-he said “no one has touched this since the Indian who lost it”. I thought that was pretty cool.

That butterscotch Flint River chert will turn bright red like that when it's heat treated. Nice find!
