Nice buck watching this morning

My fiancee and I pulled into my folks house this morning about 8:30 and SouthernClay came out with the binos. We got to watch a really nice buck work a treeline for several hundred yards. I got to watch him work his licking branches, tend scrapes, paw dirt, etc. The best was that he would stand on his hind legs and tangle his antlers in the tree limbs while rubbing scent on the branches. Best I could tell he is an exceptional 6 pointer with approximately 15-16" spread, tall tines, good mass and weighing around 150#. We got to watch him for quite awhile and he probably got lucky because he was on a beeline for my folk's property line and would have been a pretty easy ambush from our treeline. No one was interested in shooting him, we just enjoyed watching God's creation; what a great beginning to Christmas Day! I haven't been able to hunt much this year but I enjoy watching deer so much this really made me feel better about my lack of hunting time.
