It sure does, now that you mention it. How far up into GA do you see points made from it?At a glance that material looks like agatized coral.
Around here, I find points made from exotic materials ( east TN and midwestern chert, central NC rhyolite,) from the early Archaic, and Mississippian periods, mostly. The early folks were nomads, and the later folks were traders with an organized system of goverment. Most of the mid-Archaic to early Woodland points are made from local quartzite.I have found a few quartz points in Central Florida and SE South Carolina far from a close natural source so I think points from a source not native to the area were either traded with other tribal communities or the material was.
