Oglethorpe County Buck on the Risingmoon

After a long season and fighting through a work related injury that occurred on 08/26 which needed surgery on 9/17 with ACL replacement, MCL repair and fractured Femur, I finally connect. Dec 15th a little after 4:40 pm while reflecting on the day, watching the rising moon and trying to stay warm nestled into a downed tree top on a hardwood ridge in Oglethorpe County. I hear something running down from the field edge behind me as the sound gets closer I turn and catch the Big Boy in the corner of my eye.

To date he is the biggest deer I have killed. The second nice Buck from ground hunting, downed tree tops on rising moons.

It is a Sears and Roebuck Remington 742 Woods master it was my grandfathers, I like taking him and his memories to the woods with me every time I go.
