I've had a bayonet like the one in this picture for years, inherited it from my Dad, no idea where he got it , probably in some gun trade years back, I have the metal scabbard with it as well, there are various numbers on the bayonet and some on the scabbard, but no words, Anyone have any idea what country used this ? or what rifle it was made for ?

Railroader

Billy’s Security Guard.
Here is the one I was asking about
That thing brings back memories for me...Back about 1978-80, I bought one brand new at the big Army/Navy Store in Valdosta. They must have had 1000 of them, wrapped in wax paper, complete with the canvas belt attachment.

I paid $8.00 for the thing.

It went with me on countless campouts, and other boyhood missions.

I don't know what ever happened to it...
