Organic pest control

The house we rented in Singapore didn't have any A/C. Standard were slots in the walls about 6 inches from the ceiling. Little pink geckos wandered in and out and ate any mosquitoes and other small insects that came indoors. TV at night attracted moths and the geckos chowed down. We had ceiling fans and occasionally a gecko would lose it's grip on the ceiling and land on the bed. You would wake up in the morning and sweep the geckos out of bed before making it up.

The wall lizard or gecko, found in most homes, is not poisonous at all. It only checks insect population

They are pink almost translucent.

Geckos are also able to shed their tails if a predator grabs them. ... Most geckos make noises such as chirping, barking, and clicking when they are defending their territory or attracting a mate.

And they are funny perched on top of a TV making a mating display.
